Ximena Del Toro is currently a Junior at Ripon High School. She is the Link Crew and Renaissance Coordinator in the ASB program. In this position, she will oversee the Link Crew program, revamp the Renaissance program, assist with the “Student of the Month,” provide support to new students, freshmen, and ELD students, and so much more. This will be Del Toro’s third year in the program but first with this new position. She is also involved in Link Crew, the Vice President of the Middle Eastern and North African club, plays basketball, and hopes to be much more involved. Del Toro is not sure about what career she would like to pursue in the future but hopes to find something that she deeply enjoys. This year’s main goals for Del Toro are to get good grades, stop on top of her school work, be involved, and most but not least, have fun. Del Toro considers herself to be hard-working, kind, loyal, and outgoing. A quote that Del Toro finds valuable is “Oh yes, the past can hurt. But you can either run from it or learn from it” from the Lion King. She finds this quote valuable because she believes in looking for positives and the negative. By doing this, she believes that she can learn from the situation and not repeat the same mistakes, be more understanding towards others, and learn what works for her life and what doesn’t.
